9th th Libre Software Meeting

The LSM (Libre Software Meeting) are an opportunity for all sort of public to come together around the free software. Over 5 days, conferences and workshops welcome everyone. This event is organized each year and for the 9th edition is hosted in the town of Mont de Marsan, from 1 to 5 July 2008.

Initiated in Bordeaux in 2000, these meetings constitute a particularly important world appointment for the free software. The last editions which were held in Amiens and Dijon confirmed success unceasingly crescent of this demonstration.


Conferences and workshops


The edition 2008 comprises more than one ten topics going of the study legal, economic context and policy of the free software to the development of cores and operating systems, while passing by the personal and professional use.

Several red wire will guide the visitors who wish it according to their sensitivities. Conferences, many workshops and round tables are with the program.


Associative village


The associative village gathers a whole of stands presenting the activities of associations coming from south-west, other areas of France, but also of Spain, the Benelux countries and of Africa.

Genuine window of the dynamism of the communities of development and the associations the voluntary ones centered around the free software, it facilitates the making of contact and the exchanges between these multiple actors and all the potential users.
