Xaraya 2.0.0 RC2 (Jamaica) Released

The second release candidate of Xaraya 2.0.0 (Jamaica) is now available

The previous release candidate of Xaraya 2.0.0 RC1 has logged enough changes that we felt it useful to release a second, and here it is. All changes listed below are cosmetic, minor or fixed bugs. Functionality remains the same.

The changes in Xaraya 2.0.0 RC2 are listed in detail below.

Bug fixes:

  1. Fixed bug 6433: trim spaces from fieldlists in DD
  2. Fixed bug 6436: allow renaming of dataproperties in the properties list
  3. Fixed bug 6437: add minimum mySQL version requirement to the installer
  4. Fixed bug 6441: fix deprecated timezone calls
  5. Fixed bug 6453: fix for finclude block type
  6. Fixed bug 6456: remove CSS reference to zoom property
  7. Fixed bug 6472: display correct minimum PHP version number in the installer
  8. Fixed bug 6473: allow empty theme footers

Other changes:

  1. Standardized all the version files to a common presentation format
  2. Removed various unused code
  3. Updated the database definitions in DEVupgrades.sql
  4. Added an experimental htaccess file for Apache
  5. Added Hide Link in User Menu option to dynamicdata modifyconfig
  6. Updated the credits page
  7. Redirected the copyright notices to the credits page
  8. Added a rough guide for updating from Xaraya 1x
  9. Added backend and frontend links as options in user and admin menus
  10. Use the admin logout link in both front and back end for all users
  11. Fixed admin menu display option (group or category)
  12. Miscellaneous cosmetic changes

The final 2.0.0 release of Jamaica, which can be expected in about the same time frame, will incorporate: PHP 5.3 compatibility changes, further cosmetic changes, and bug fixes as identified. We do not plan further functional enhancements in this branch.
