This is a 3 day class for Plone 3 developers and designers. Students are expected to have built basic Plone sites, either Plone 2.5 or Plone 3. A typical student will have attended a Joel Burton Bootcamp or has equivalent experience, and wishes to expand their scope of operational, development and creative knowledge. Class: Plone 3 Developer Training

Agenda
The class will meet from 9:00AM to 5:00PM each day at the MCC Building, in the Alamo Room.
Day 1: Plone 3 Features, Development Tools and Data Types
Day 2: Plone 3 Buildout, Generic Setup and Theming
Day 3: Plone 3 Theming continued and Additional Topics
Prerequisites
Students are expected to have built basic Plone sites, either Plone 2.5 or Plone 3. A typical student will have attended a Joel Burton Bootcamp
or has equivalent experience, and wishes to expand their scope of
operational, development and creative knowledge. This class is also
suitable for designers seeking an in-depth look at the tools and
techniques for Plone design.
Students are encouraged to make the instructor aware of preferred topics well before class.
The
class size will be limited to 12 students to insure a personal and
highly productive environment. It is strongly recommended you bring a
laptop, as this is a hand-on experience.
Instructor
Nate Aune is president of Jazkarta, a Boston-based consulting firm specializing in Plone-based web solutions. Nate is a Plone Foundation Board Member serving his second term and is a deeply experienced Plone developer and educator.
Nate has over 7 years of experience developing Plone, including
leadership in developing modern multimedia extensions as founder of the
Plone4Artists project. He has
conducted several public training courses covering Plone 3 development,
and regularly provides onsite private training courses to small
businesses, non-profits and educational institutions.
